📝 Summary

We try to collect as little as possible. In short:

📊 Information We Collect

Voice recordings and transcripts

When you answer a practice interview question, the App records your voice and sends the recording to a third-party AI provider for transcription. We do not store voice recordings on our servers. The provider we use may retain audio data for a short period (typically up to 30 days) for purposes such as abuse monitoring, service operation, or other limited uses as described in the provider's own policies. We store the resulting transcripts so you can review your interview history and feedback inside the App.

ZIP code and state information

When you enter your ZIP code, we send it to a third-party API to look up your state, Governor, Senators, Representative, and State Capital. We also store your ZIP code on our own servers so the App can show this information when you return.

User identifier

The App generates a user ID associated with your account so we can keep track of your progress, bookmarks, and interview history across sessions and devices.

Email address

You can create an account by signing in with Google, Apple, or an email and password. We use your email address to identify your account, save your progress across sessions and devices, and respond to you if you contact support. We do not send marketing emails unless you separately opt in.

Display name

When you create an account, you choose a display name. This can be a nickname or any name you like — we do not require your legal name. The display name is used inside the App to personalize your experience.

Usage data through Apple

If you have analytics sharing enabled on your iPhone, Apple may collect aggregated usage information (such as crash reports and feature usage) and share it with us through their App Analytics and TestFlight tools. We do not receive this information in a form that identifies individual users. You can turn this off at any time in your iPhone's Settings under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
